Backrooms Finn Bennett End Apartheid Shirt

I have to say, this was a very pleasant surprise. In the opening scenes of the hit new film Backrooms, you can see Irish-British actor Finn Bennett wearing an ‘End Apartheid’ T-shirt. The shirt appears twice in the film—the second time audiences see it, it’s far darker: Bennett’s character finds it atop a heap of dirty laundry before his character is killed off. Ouch. Is this global Zionism’s way of flipping the finger to Palestine activists? Whatever the case, five steps forward, two steps back is still progress. We’ll take the cultural win!

Also, what’s another reason I sound so positive? Did you guys see Pew Research Center’s latest survey of three dozen countries gauging their views of Israel and everything it represents? Sadly, by association with the state of Israel, I’m sure America doesn’t rank too highly in these surveys either.

I recommend sitting with the results below for a few minutes so you can see how rapidly sentiment has shifted for a state that will now spend hundreds of millions of dollars on propaganda. They can spend all the inflated dollars they want—short of curing cancer and solving American homelessness—western-supported Israeli apartheid will never convince the wider Western public that it’s alright to commit genocide.
