If Judaism in America cannot find a political savior in their own ranks—at least until all the red-pilled Jewish kids grow up and take power from their blood-thirsty elders—the irony of all ironies will be to support a scholarly associate professor of History, Black Studies, and Islamic Studies at UC Santa Barbara who just happens to be running for Governor of California.

Say hello to Dr. Rudolph ‘Butch’ Ware.

As expected, Dr. Ware will have his plate full when he takes office, but he doesn’t have lobbyist chains around his neck, nor is he handcuffed by big-money donors. If voters are looking for a starkly different leader, this is their guy. California voters need to understand that their state has a ‘top-two’ primary system. This is referred to as a ‘jungle primary,’ where all candidates appear on the same ballot and only the top two finishers—regardless of party affiliation—move on to the general election.

With the ICE drama currently unfolding, I have a feeling that immigration will play a major role in this upcoming election. NYC has an ultra-concentrated foreign-born population standing at 38% of the city’s total, but eligible voters stand at roughly 24%. California, in comparison, has a foreign-born population of 28%, with eligible voters clocking in at 21%. While it’s great to have so many voters, getting them to the polls will be critical. I believe that will happen if you judge by California’s recent past; for example, in the 2022 race, roughly 50% of the naturalized immigrant population voted. That number should be even higher this time around if we look at the Mamdani election in NYC, where turnout hit between 45–55%. Of course, the federal government will utilize ICE to scare away voters, but California’s naturalized citizens know the stakes are super high. Thank goodness for mail-in ballots!

The state is riddled with problems galore, as everyone likes to talk about—and with those problems comes a tremendous opportunity to show change in action. California isn’t just one of the 50 states of the richest and most militarily powerful country in history. The state is the fourth largest economy in the world with a GDP of roughly $4.1 trillion (behind only the U.S., Germany, and China), contains around 12% of the national population, and produces over half of the country’s fruits and vegetables. I would be remiss not to mention that this coastal state also handles roughly 40% of all containerized imports entering the United States. This is no average state. This is no average election. This is no average opportunity!

Ok, I’ve rambled on enough. If you didn’t get to meet Mr. Ware during the previous presidential cycle, make sure to learn more about him on the latest episode of the YouTube series Bad Hasbara. He is a fast talker and thinker, so listen carefully!
