Except this time it will not work.

On all of our phones, there is a growing collection of photo and video evidence detailing the genocide of our times.

We must keep reminding friends and family of this fact. We must also remind them that Vice President Kamala Harris is currently overseeing this genocide. If genocide isn’t a valid presidential ticket litmus test, then the American electorate is in deep trouble.

If the genocide litmus test doesn’t work, make sure you mention that Kamala is a zombie candidate who has been (supposedly) chosen by a man who doesn’t know night from day. I think it’s safe to assume that Biden isn’t doing the actual choosing. In the same way Biden was chosen to be Obama’s VP—the same people are choosing Kamala for the top spot. Along with the unmasking of many revered intellectuals and institutions, this is a big mask-off moment for American elections (or at least the latest unmasking), but just because the masks are off doesn’t mean the electorate will be horrified by what is underneath.

With every opportunity to take the off-ramp from the Genocide Autobahn that our nation is currently speeding along, Kamala Harris and her well-funded team of advisors push harder on the gas.

Let’s go through a few of these missed opportunities in hopes to regain control of the steering wheel and eventually put ourselves in a position to one day take that elusive off-ramp.

Exit Ramp : Don’t meet with Emperor Netanyahu during his visit to the United States. Instead, make a statement against his conduct of a genocidal war in Palestine.

Kamala Chooses to Push on the Gas: Met privately with Netanyahu and then gave a pro-genocide statement thereafter:

“I told him that I will always ensure that Israel is able to defend itself, including from Iran and Iran-backed militias, such as Hamas and Hezbollah.

I’ve said it many times, but it bears repeating: Israel has a right to defend itself, and how it does so matters.”

“Hamas is a brutal terrorist organization.  On October 7, Hamas triggered this war when it massacred 1,200 innocent people, including 44 Americans.  Hamas has committed horrific acts of sexual violence and took 250 hostages.”

“And ultimately, I remain committed to a path forward that can lead to a two-state solution.  And I know right now it is hard to conceive of that prospect, but a two-state solution is the only path that ensures Israel remains a secure, Jewish, and democratic state and one that ensures Palestinians can finally realize the freedom, security, and prosperity that they rightly deserve.”

Off-ramp: CNN Interview with Dana Bash (I know most of you just rolled your eyes, but humor me for a bit). Kamala could’ve made a powerful statement about potential weapons embargo if Israel didn’t stop scratching its genocidal itch.

Genocide Kamala Banged on the Gas avoid the off-ramp: Her statements continued with the propagation of debunked rape allegations, refusal to mention IDF rape allegations and even dodged a question about whether she would do anything differently than President Biden.

CNN Dana Bash: “President Biden has tried unsuccessfully to end the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. He’s been doing it for months and months, along with you. Would you do anything differently? For example, would you withhold some U.S. weapons shipments to Israel? That’s what a lot of people on the progressive left want you to do.”

Kamala Harris: “Let me be very clear. I’m unequivocal and — and unwavering in my commitment to Israel’s defense and its ability to defend itself. And that’s not gonna change. But let’s take a step back. Oct 7: 1,200 people are massacred, many young people who are simply attending a musical festival. Women were horribly raped. As I said then, I say today, Israel had a right — has a right — to defend itself.”

Off-ramp: Democratic National Convention

Kamala Floored the Gas Pedal Once again: She had a the perfect chance to differentiate herself from Biden, but she continued to read from highly scripted AIPAC-provided talking points.

“Let me be clear: I will always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself, and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself. Because the people of Israel must never again face the horror that the terrorist organization Hamas caused on October 7th. Including unspeakable sexual violence and the massacre of young people at a music festival.”

“And know this: I will never hesitate to take whatever action is necessary to defend our forces and our interests against Iran and Iran-backed terrorists.”

“As Commander-in-Chief, I will ensure America always has the strongest, most lethal fighting force in the world.”

If that isn’t evidence enough to change voter behavior then it will take longer, but I can guarantee to all readers, this behavior will eventually change—except, sadly, during more desperate times.
