Maybe I’m reading too much into this, but the man had a chance to be Vice President of the United States of America and he was overlooked for one reason and one reason only: his extremist reaction to anti-genocide student encampments held at universities in Pennsylvania.

Had Governor Josh Shapiro taken a more moderate, more sensible, more pro-Judaism and less pro-Zionist approach to his handling of the student-led protests, he would be on the ticket right now with Kamala Harris.

Mr. Shapiro missed only the VP spot, but Kamala will fail on many more counts and in the process potentially reach a far greater pool of prospective politicians with her inevitable loss. Kamala won’t get to be first woman, Black person and person of South Asian descent to serve as the President of the United States of America. If she could just be her own woman, she had a fighting chance, but she’s simply an AIPAC-sponsored cut-out. Oh well. Live & learn, right?

American Politicians Study For New Litmus Test

Obviously we don’t have all the questions on this tricky exam, but we can hint general themes judging by what happened to Governor Shapiro (and what will happen to Kamala):

  1. How did you behave during the student-led anti-genocide encampments at universities around the country?
  2. What did you say during the student-led anti-genocide encampments at universities around the country?
  3. What’s your stance on human rights in the context of the Israeli occupation of Palestine?
  4. Did you sign an American-made missile that was dropped on Occupied Palestine?
  5. Did you go on the Kibbutz Atrocity Tour?
  6. How many Israeli women do you think were raped on October 7
  7. How many babies were killed on October 7?
  8. Do you think Israel abuses Palestinian prisoners?
  9. More question to come…
